GLASMA’S

AUTOMATED AND
CONTROLLED
PRODUCTION PROCESS

Glasma production process has been continuously developed since 1979. Already in 1995 Glasma was certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14 001.

Lean manufacturing, continuous improvements and frequent stop-and-clean sessions have made the Glasma factory one of the most safe, modern and efficient.

Dual productions lines give a high level of capacity, flexibility and contingency.

RAW MATERIALS

Glasma uses pure raw materials supplied by the most reliable European suppliers. The most commonly used raw materials are stored in the warehouse to ensure short delivery times.

QUALITY CONTROL OF RAW MATERIALS

Each and every raw material delivery is thoroughly checked and weighed.

MIXING

The mixing process is one of the most important. A perfectly mixed and homogenous pellet ensures an optimised melting, degassing and refining process.

AUTOMATED, CONTROLLED

The production process is fully automated, controlled and documented. This ensures production of consistent high quality products, over and over again.

PELLETIZING, STABILISATION

During the pelletizing process the mix of raw materials is agglomerated and fixed. The stabilisation process prevent the pellets to segregate (dust) and they become more resistant to humidity.

GLASMA LABORATORY

In the laboratory many different tests and analysis can be made. Each production batch is thoroughly tested, controlled and documented.

QUALITY CONTROL OF PELLETS

At regular intervals the pellets are melted from production batches. This is to make sure the quality is perfect and also to keep a reference sample.
